How easy is it to install rope light?
Rope light can either be used in entire length or can be cut down to a certain length. When powering rope light, 120v versions need to be connected with a power connector in order to attach a power cord while 12v/24v have a pre-installed power cord with an inline rectifier.
How do I know where I can cut my rope light?
Rope light comes with indicated cut marks printed on the outer coating to show where the rope light can be safely trimmed. Please follow our guide when cutting rope light to ensure that your rope light is not damaged in the process.

Can I get my rope light to turn 90° or make a sharp turn with it?
You can but you cannot create a sharp corner with rope light without a special connector. Rope light supplies power via internal cabling and by bending rope light sharply, you risk either slicing that cord or cracking the bulbs inside the rope light. Rope light can however perform a 90° turn in a curve to turn a corner or use a T-connector on two rope light sections to get the sharp 90° turn.
Can I use multiple colors in the same run?
Yes, you can mix and match rope light as much as you'd like as long it is the same type of rope light. Rope light comes in 2 wire, 3 wire, 4 wire and incandescent and LED versions so if you want to create a run with multiple colors, make sure all the rope light sections are of the same type.
Can I dim rope light?
